In the fall of 2022, the Mill Creek MetroParks Foundation embarked on the redevelopment of the MetroParks' Children's Garden.
The $3 million project replaces the three-decade-old Children's Garden with an exciting design by renowned landscape architects Russell Mills. The new garden will incorporate five individual component gardens, each lending to a different theme in horticulture and ecology.
The individual gardens are:
Harvest Garden
Tree Top Canopy Garden
Stream Garden
Sensory Garden
Wonder Room Garden
The new education building, which sits at the forefront of the Children's Garden will serve as the location where groups visiting the Garden will gather for lessons in horticulture and ecology. The building features a retractable glass wall system on two sides, allowing visitors to experience an open-air learning space.
